I arrived here at the Beeler house Thursday morning early as Victor and Marla "jet set" off to Chicago! They had a nice get away planned with Larry and Michele Richards.
My first challenge was to get Victor off to school on time...that was a flash from the past!
Victor was good enough to plan ahead for me with Paul Chapman( Lilly, his daughter is in Victor's class) so Victor could walk into school with them. It was a great idea so I did not have to get the girls out of the car. This is Victor's first year of school. He is in Kindergarten at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in New Albany. I can't believe it. I told Papa that it seems like yesterday that I was doing this for our kids. Where does the time go....all of you Mom's out there, I know that there are many tough days out there, take it from a Mamo, enjoy them, they will be gone all too fast.
We had a good day at the house. The girls were fun and full of energy!! We headed out around 1:30 to take Nana to the doctor and they were WONDERFUL!!!! I tried to get them both to lay down a bit before we left... I think it helped. Everyone at the doctor's office were commenting on how good and how cute they are.
We ran some errands for Nana and then went off to pick up Victor at Gran's (my sister Anne)
She was kind enough to pick up Victor at school. I was concerned that we would not be back in time for his dismissal.
Needless to say, when we arrived at Gran's house he didn't want to leave. Gran came carrying him out on her hip and he was all smiles. I was thrilled for her! They came home around 6, much to Victor's dismay. Anne said he was very clear that he wanted to stay with her. She convinced him to leave with a trip to Target!!! That works every time. They came home with all sorts of things, books, puzzles and snacks. Thank you Anne so much, you saved the day!!! These kids love you so much and I'm blessed to be able to share them with you.
We made it this morning again to school in "record time"... Paul was not there yet so we had time to talk a bit. Victor was concerned if there would be a fire drill again today. Yesterday that was a point in the day that he did not like. Just from our conversation, he had an adult, teacher or aide, who was very sympathetic with him. That means a lot to a Mamo and parents too.
Anyway, we are picking Nana up from the beauty shop today. Sonie is taking her for us as Barry is still pretty sick. This has been a good two days with the kids....I've forgotten how much there is to do!!!!! My mom always says, "Now you know why God made young mothers," that is soooo true.. I'm just plain ole' greatful at this point in my life to be blessed to be a Mamo. I'll not forget to leave my camera plugged in my computer! I taking the kids to Jan's house later today. She is keeping them until Mommy and Daddy return. More pix after I return from Fla. with a little R and R with my hubby!

The Loss of a dear friend.
On July 3 a dear, dear friend of ours, Chips Cronen returned to Heaven. He will be missed. We pray and ask for prayers for his wife Barbra and sons.
I came across this scripture that seems to be appropriate for Chips, it reads from Ephesians 6: 16-18
"At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one. And accepting salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occassion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for God's people."
This is just one thought that gives "light" to the life of Chips Cronen. He was truly a prayer warrior. I've counted on his prayers many times and will continue to do so..
