HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!

Today is Victor and Marla's 8th wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe that it has been 8 years. Where does the time go? The older I get the more I seem to realize how fast these days go by.
I remember how excited we all were on this special day. It was unseasonably warm. I bought myself a new dress coat after Christmas for the occasion and didn't need it.
The celebration was beautiful.Victor and I both were so proud of Vic and were so happy to see him so full of happiness. Marla looked, as my mom put it, "regal."
She too was so happy. Fr. Ron our dear friend did such a beautiful job with the ceremony. We miss him so much. The Spirit was truly present and many guests said they felt the same joy.
Our prayer today is that you both stay close to Jesus and EVERYTHING else will take it's place. That is our promise and prayer for you today.
You've been truly blessed with each other, healthy, beautiful children, and good health. You are truly rich!
We love you both and pray for all of you each and everyday.
Love,
Mamo and Papa

Too Young to Enlist!

Sam does come from a very patriotic backgrounds!
My dad retired as a Col. in the Army National Guard and PaPa Tom Powers is currently back in the Army, serving at Fort Knox. Joe did his service in the Army National Guard too.
Jane and Tom bought Sam his "first Uniform" for his birthday. It is so cute and has his name, Powers on the shirt.
Joe and Sam were visiting with me the other day and needless to say, Sam was a little fussy. I thought this pix said something. Joe liked it. The kids laugh at me because as a typical grandparent when they are fussy my usual coin phrase is, "He's tired".

Happy Valentines Day

What a beautiful arrangement sent to me from my "sweetie"
He always sends something to my mom and her's was similar.
She said,"It looks like Hollywood," Thats the flair of Wayne Esterle from In Bloom Again in Louisville. If you ever want something beautiful and different from the usual, give him a call.
It was a happy day visiting all those that I love. Sure wish my number 1 man could have been home. We will be celebrating Valentines/Anniversary soon in Fla..

Love to all, mamo

Sam Is One!!

After returning home from Fla., I was very eager to see my grandbabies!
Sam was going to celebrate his first birthday on Feb.3! It's hard to believe that he is one. It seems like yesterday that we were being blessed with our first and now, wow, we have 4!
I took lots of good pix at the party and this one I thought was pretty cute. There are so many others.
Marla came over tonight and gave me a crash course on how to download my pix in the computer, print my pix on my new printer and probably more info than I'll ever remember. I had so much fun!
Enjoy everyone, this is too much fun!
Love,
Mamo

The Loss of a dear friend.

On July 3 a dear, dear friend of ours, Chips Cronen returned to Heaven. He will be missed. We pray and ask for prayers for his wife Barbra and sons.
I came across this scripture that seems to be appropriate for Chips, it reads from Ephesians 6: 16-18
"At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one. And accepting salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occassion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for God's people."

This is just one thought that gives "light" to the life of Chips Cronen. He was truly a prayer warrior. I've counted on his prayers many times and will continue to do so..
