Happy Anniversary Joe and Meredith

Six years ago today Joe and Meredith "tied the knot." It was a hot but beautiful day. It is hard to believe that it has been six years already. Where does the time go?
Sam was running a low grade temp today and they decided to keep things low key. I sat with Sam while they went to Rocky's to eat.
They came home pretty quick to find Sam and I taking a walk in his stroller after his bath. He loves being outside. Meredith and Joe walked with us for a bit.
Kissed him goodbye and came on home. It's 10:35 P.M. and I called Meredith and Sam was still awake! Guess Mamo got him a little wound up...not sure. Anyway, Thank You Lord for married couples especially Joe and Meredith today on their special day. May we all realize the witness we are for you by keeping this Sacrament (that you gave us) Holy. Amen.

What a Fun Day...a princess party!!!!

Princess Madeline and her "court"
"Hey I can use this bag for the beach"
Maddie and Mamo.....I love you Maddie
Lot's of pretty beads to pick from....
Both Maddie and Marla found lots of pretty gems
Not sure what but Maddie was trying to convince Marla of something
The "Princess" and her helpers
Maddie looked too cute wearing her Princess crown

Today Marla and I took Maddie to a Princess Party! Yes, you read that right.... a party for little girls with all of the frills. This party was hosted in Louisville at A Mothers Touch botique.

Lot's of darling little girls just in awe of the two very pretty girls who represent Kentucky for the Jr. Miss and Miss Kentucky pagents. Very pretty and talented girls to say the least. They were so sweet with all of the little ones.

Maddie got to make her own bracelet picking out the beads and all. Her's was so pretty. Each little princess was given a silver "wish" bead. Maddie, Marla and I all three made wishes. I think the bead Maddie liked best was the green bead that she kept calling a pickle! (Does look like one:))

Anyway the cake was good and the store for us to shop in was even better. Check it out sometime it is such a neat place. I'm sure we'll be back. Thanks Marla for including me. I loved it and spending the great time with Maddie.

Lots of fun!!

Of all things......YARN!
The more tangled he got the more he loved it!
My baby boy is getting "so big"...check out those eyes.
Of course he had to stop long enough for a "swig" of my Diet Coke!!
Had lil Victor for a "Wednesday night" as he calls it and we had a great time. Picked him up at Keeta's and he was so happy to see me. We came home and took a snooze together and then had dinner later on with Papa. After dinner Victor and I decided to go over and get Nana and take her out for ice cream. She was so happy and loves being with the kids.

We went to bed late and did our usual prayers, stories, hugs and kisses before falling asleep.

Marla came over in the A.M. to pick Victor up and we had a great morning together with all.

Later in the afternoon I went to keep Sam for Joe for a bit while he ran some errands that needed to be taken care of.Sam was so happy when he woke from his nap to see me. He laid his head on my shoulder and thats all it takes for me!

We played, he drank some milk, played some more and then Joe returned. Meredith was not far off and returned from school. They had a gift certif..from W.W. Cousins so we decided to get some great burgers for dinner. I brought Sam here with me and Meredith went to pick up the food. Joe joined us here and we had a fun evening as you can see. Sam, after his bath in the sink, decided to get into my bag of yarn! The things kids love to do....it amazes me. He was so cute tonight and full of fun. I gave him a hair brush and he said "thank you" as plain as day!!! Meredith and I screamed and screamed! He was so cute and of course repeated it over and over! Joe was thrilled too. He is starting to say so much more. Look out guys, it's just beginning. I love it. It was an Awesome Day.....I need to go to bed. Enjoy my pix.

We are all so greatful and happy for Joe and Meredith. Joe was hired on with Humana. He will be working in their accounting dept.. It has been a long tough time for the both of them. We were all, as many of you, praying the the Lord would send just the right job. Times are tough right now and he feels so greatful that this opportunity has come through for him.

We got together tonight to celebrate his news with dinner and fun. Thanks Jennifer for pulling for him. Sure helps to know people in high places. We're pulling for you Joe and hope this is just the place for you.

Here are some of our pix from this evening. We are all SO HAPPY!!!!!!! Thank you Lord!!!!

Pammie Goes Home

I received a call today from Tish Kimble letting me know that Pam Geiser passed on while she was visiting her brother in her home country of England.
This is a shock to all. Pam was a true Christian woman, loved children and her faith. Most of all she loved her family and always was ready to tell you something about one of them.
Several years ago her husband Jerry passed on. She loved Jerry so much and always referred to him as "My Jerry." Well, as Sr. Karen said, "She has gone home to be with "my Jerry."
How appropriate that she met Jerry in England while he was in the service. She went home to see her family and passed on there to go on to meet her Maker and "my Jerry." We'll miss you Pam and we all loved to listen to her as she was one of our best Lector's at St. Anthony's.
Give my daddy a hug for me as I know that he was there ready to give you one of his bear hugs.
Keep an eye on all of us.

Happy Father's Day

Three Generations of Beeler....God is Good~
Joe and his boy, Sam...Happy Father's Day
Proud papa Al and his beautiful daughter,(and ours) Marla
Proud Papa and his beautiful baby girl, Meredith..too sweet
It was such a nice day today. What a blessing to celebrate Father's Day with our kids and their kids. Victor was so happy that they all came to St. Anthony's for Mass today to be with him. We miss them when they are attending their parishes, as it should be.

Marla and Vic hosted such a nice pitch in and Vic did an Awesome job with the grilling. The Goodman kids all stopped in too as Al spent the morning and day with us as well.

We stayed while many of the guys watched the U.S. Open. On the way home Victor and I stopped by St. Anthony Cemetery so I could take a balloon for my dad. It was tough to say the least. If you have a dad living, be thankful and spend time with him. I'd give anything to see my dad again. I know that I will someday but in the meantime it's tough.

Later we went by Pam and Bobby's to see Victor's dad. He is slipping fast and doesn't look very good. He says he is in no pain and that is a blessing. I know he enjoyed our visit as he and Victor talked for quite a while.

Enjoy the pix that I have. Happy Father's Day to all!!!!!

Happy Birthday Joe

This evening we celebrated Joe's birthday....a few days late but at least we got together as we should and like to do.

Joe loves the Japanese Steak and Sushi Bar in Clarksville, right by Famous Daves, I won't try to spell it! Anyhow, me, Nana, Marla, lil Victor, Maddie, Abigail, Miss, Joe and Sam all went. Victor and Papa were playing in a father and son golf tournament at the Elks. Wish they could have made it. We will be together tomorrow at Vic and Marla's for a Father's Day cookout.

Nana and I were not sure what we would eat since both of us are not fans of Oriental food. Boy were we wrong on this one! We loved the chicken fried rice with veggies! It was so good!

Enjoy the pix and I'll have more tomorrow after our cookout. Joe, hope your birthday was as special as you are...we love you.

I'm having trouble pulling up my pix and I don't know why...stay with me. What else is new:))

Papa and his baby girl. Again:)
Meredith and Giles the Groom
Barbara and her baby boy, Giles
Me and Barbara.....long time friends

Well, today Giles and Ashley tied the knot. The wedding was this afternoon at St. Anthony's and what a beautiful ceremony. You can see true happiness on the faces of so many couples just married and they were no exception.

Victor, Meredith, Vic, Marla and myself all went to the wedding. Victor and I agreed that Chips was present in so many ways. From just looking at all of the Cronen boys and seeing Chips, listening to the readings at Mass, and knowing that they were ones that Chips would have approved of, down to Giles showing us his wedding band which consisted of Chips gold band in the middle of two outer silver bands all together.....very, very touching.

I think what touched me personally the most was Kelly Anderson singing, How Great Thou Art and You Raised Me Up. All in all it was a beautiful day and no doubt in my mind Chips shared in the joy in a Heavenly way. Enjoy the few pix I have

A day of swimming with Victor and Maddie was so much fun..We stopped by Grans and took her to McDonalds with us. Later Victor and I took Mom with us to the Pizza Hutt. The kids have so much fun with Mom. Even more fun when we go to the Walmart to get a much deserved "prize" for being so good. We came home, watched the Wiggles, read books and crashed with hugs, kisses and prayers.....at MIDNIGHT!!! Oh well, the priviledge of grandparenting. My dad always said, "If spoiling them is loving them, it's ok." They are surely loved!

Baby Sam is how the kids fondly refer to their new cousin..they are getting lots of practice for their newest addition

The Loss of a dear friend.

On July 3 a dear, dear friend of ours, Chips Cronen returned to Heaven. He will be missed. We pray and ask for prayers for his wife Barbra and sons.
I came across this scripture that seems to be appropriate for Chips, it reads from Ephesians 6: 16-18
"At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one. And accepting salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occassion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for God's people."

This is just one thought that gives "light" to the life of Chips Cronen. He was truly a prayer warrior. I've counted on his prayers many times and will continue to do so..
