It's been a very long and emotional day. A day that I will never forget. The church was absolutly packed...what a tribute to you Chips and how many lives you have touched throughout your life.
I've reflected these past few days on many conversations and times together. No doubt that your friendship and witness just makes me want to strive with all that I have to be a better Christian person.
You would always say when asked how you were doing, "Just one more day closer to the Kingdom dear", well, no doubt you have been welcomed into the Kingdom with open arms.
As the song goes Chips.....Thank you for giving to the Lord, because in doing so you gave to me and many, many others.
I'll miss you dear friend and promise to watch out for your family. We all know how many times you've watched out for ours.
Say "hello" to my sweet, sweet daddy and hug him for me. We WILL all be together again some day not so far off in the future.....until then...Peace
Love,
Christy

The Loss of a dear friend.
On July 3 a dear, dear friend of ours, Chips Cronen returned to Heaven. He will be missed. We pray and ask for prayers for his wife Barbra and sons.
I came across this scripture that seems to be appropriate for Chips, it reads from Ephesians 6: 16-18
"At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one. And accepting salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occassion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for God's people."
This is just one thought that gives "light" to the life of Chips Cronen. He was truly a prayer warrior. I've counted on his prayers many times and will continue to do so..

Noah and I talk about missing both Chips and "Grandma Scott" (my mother) everyday. Noah calls him Chips Ahoy:)
Every so often Noah will say "let's pray" when he says he misses them. For those of you who do not know, my son is a special needs teenager with ADHD, some autistic tendencies, and a moderate mental handicap.
I drove past the spot on the 2nd street bridge yesterday afternoon and saw flowers placed where Chips entered heaven. Thank you Chips, for giving to the Lord....and Lord thank You for giving us Chips.
