Mamo Returns

"Who wants the finished product, this batter is AWESOME!"
Mommy's lil helper?

Sam just watching

Ummmmmmmm

"My name is Obi One"
Love it....did it twice again
After a nice week in Fla., especially with all of the nasty weather here, I returned home on Wednesday during all of the wind! And I don't have to tell any of you how windy it was. I was on a plane coming into Louisville during some of the high winds.
I sure had a nice time in NSB but always happy to return home to see everyone. I took mom to the doctor on Thurs and Meredith and Sam came over and baked cupcakes for Sams daycare Valentines party. He had such a good time helping mommy and eating the batter. He later decided that he would go outside no matter how chilly it was. I took a blanket as you can see and he looked like Obie One!!!!!!
Good to be home.

The Birthday Continues!

Birthday rough housin' with daddy

"lets share some cake Nana"

Happy Birthday Sam

Today, Feb. 3 is Sam's birthday. Meredith and Joe had the party a little early. Nana could not make it on Saturday so Joe and Meredith were nice enough to "brave the cold" and bring Sam over to Nana's for cake and let her wish him a happy birthday. It was fun as you can see. We even had another cake....we just had to. As we were leaving Westminster they were having a sing a long downstairs in the main lobby. Sam loves the residents there and ALWAYS is so affectionate with them. Well, tonight as we were leaving he was a true hit ! Dancing with everyone and they even had the piano player play 'happy birthday' and they all sang to him. He did way more for them than he'll ever know. God Bless you Sam.

Sam's Birthday!!!

Our sweet, sweet Sam...Happy Birthday
Cousin Victor.Proud to wear the Thomas hat.

I love my Thomas cake..especially since Mommy and Daddy made it.

Sam is 2!!!! It is really hard to believe that Sam is two today. Where has the time gone?!!!
We thought he was going to be born on Super Bowl Sunday but he made the scene on Saturday. We hosted his birthday party here for Joe and Meredith since their basement is still a work in progress. It was fun and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Feeling very peaceful

Just got home this evening from the Ultreya up at Mount St. Francis. I'm so greatful to have an abundance of Christian friends. God is so good to me, better than I deserve.
Our witness speaker this evening was so good. Dona McCrite gave the talk and it was more than inspiring to all. She really gave a talk from the heart and truly showed how God throughout all of her troubles in life has been with her all the way. She spoke of her experience on Cursillo and how she felt she had been "asleep" most of her life and now she was "awake."
Sonie went with me tonight and had a good experience. She made her Cursillo about 20 years ago and has had the Spirit tugging at her heart to become involved again. She won't be sorry she did. I've been in sharing group since 1988 and don't know what I'd do without these ladies. We challenge each other to be the best Christian's we can be.
Well in the Spirit of the evening I'm going to get some rest and relax in the Arms of the One I know loves me unconditionally. Thank you Jesus for always loving me and taking care of me and the ones that I love. I feel Your Peace.

Stick with me!

It's late and I'm not sure what I've done on the following post. I know the girls (Meredith and Marla) are smiling:) I need a refresher course! It's menopause.
Don't give up on me and keep scrolling down to see more pix and my story. Sorry.
Enjoy and remember, Life is Good.

Checking us in and ready to show us around.

So good that I put this on twice....(?)

Self potrait and a happy face at that!

It won't be long.

Maddie enjoyed everything. I think she'll love it next year.

I'm not sure if this should be happening this fast!!! Victor asked me this morning at OLPH, "Didn't we do this just yesterday?" Sure seems like yesterday we were doing this with our own.

We went to lil Victor's open house today at his school. We went to Mass with everyone at 11:00 and then on to the school. He was so proud and you could tell that his teachers, Mrs Timperman and Mrs. Hammond were both happy to see him. Of course, and why not. He is of course the cutest, smartest, sweetest, happiest, kindest and most loving of all their students. Spoken like a true Mamo! I've always been known to be truthful.

Anyway thanks guys for including us. We would not have missed it for the world. Next year with Maddie Sparkles!

Baby Sam is how the kids fondly refer to their new cousin..they are getting lots of practice for their newest addition

The Loss of a dear friend.

On July 3 a dear, dear friend of ours, Chips Cronen returned to Heaven. He will be missed. We pray and ask for prayers for his wife Barbra and sons.
I came across this scripture that seems to be appropriate for Chips, it reads from Ephesians 6: 16-18
"At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one. And accepting salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occassion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for God's people."

This is just one thought that gives "light" to the life of Chips Cronen. He was truly a prayer warrior. I've counted on his prayers many times and will continue to do so..
